"Zucko"

“Zucko” was our first home bred champion!  We had in fact sold him as a puppy and he was returned to us a year later as the family had lost their home and had to go to live with another family member who also had a dog.

 When they brought him back I could not believe my eyes, emphasize that he would have a good home and he stayed with us!

He was stunning with the most gorgeous head and expression, and super angulation but most of all Zucko had the most outstanding temperament I have ever had in a golden retriever.  He was intelligent, confident and outgoing and frightened of nothing, he was inquisitive and friendly and strictly non confrontational.

Zucko was a good stud dog and sired:

· Sh Ch Graceleigh Valentino who was BOB at Crufts in 2005.

· Irish Sh Ch Woodmore Louisea who was top winning Golden Retriever bitch in Ireland for four years on the run, and holds the record for the bitch winning the most Green Stars in Golden Retrievers.

· Liam’s Dunston: at 17 months he was second top winning male in France before going to Greece where he became the first golden to become a full Greek Champion and also the first Greek International Champion, he then went to Sweden where he also took his Swedish Title.

· Swedish Champion Styal Sheer Scandle.

It is one of my biggest regrets that we did not have one of his children but I have some sperm frozen from him and one day hope to use it.
